What are the advantages and disadvantages of the plastic raw materials used in custom nylon bearings?
1. High mechanical strength and toughness, with high tensile and compressive strength. Its tensile strength is higher than metals, and its compressive strength is comparable to metals, but its rigidity is lower. Its tensile strength is close to its yield strength, more than twice that of ABS. It has strong absorption capacity for impact and stress vibration, and its impact strength is much higher than that of ordinary plastics and superior to acetal resin.
2. Outstanding fatigue resistance; parts can maintain their original mechanical strength even after repeated bending. PA is frequently used in applications where cyclic fatigue is extremely significant, such as escalator handrails and new bicycle plastic rims.
3. High softening point and heat resistance (e.g., nylon 46; highly crystalline nylon products have high heat distortion temperatures and can be used for extended periods at 150 degrees Celsius. PA66, after glass fiber reinforcement, has a heat distortion temperature exceeding 250 degrees Celsius).
4. Smooth surface, low coefficient of friction, and wear-resistant. When used as a moving mechanical component, it has self-lubricating properties, low noise, and the nine-ribbed, perforated elevator nylon wheel can be used without lubricant when the friction is not too high; if lubricant is indeed needed to reduce friction or help dissipate heat, water, oil, grease, etc. can all be selected. Therefore, as a transmission component, it has a long service life.
Why do custom nylon bearings age?
1. Weather Resistance of Custom Nylon Bearings
Weather resistance refers to the durability of a material exposed to climatic conditions such as sunlight, heat, wind, and rain (i.e., the material's ability to maintain its function under operating conditions).
2. Artificial Climate Aging of custom nylon bearings
Artificial climate aging refers to the phenomenon of material performance deteriorating over time under artificially simulated climatic conditions.
3. Hot Air Aging of custom nylon bearings
Hot air aging refers to the exposure of material samples to controlled hot air, saturating them with heat and oxygen, and measuring the changes in performance before and after the aging test to evaluate the material's thermal aging performance.
4. Damp Heat Aging of custom nylon bearings
Damp heat aging refers to the phenomenon of material samples deteriorating over time under given temperature and humidity conditions.
Test Standard GB/T 120G0---2003 Determination of the Effects of Exposure to Damp Heat, Water Spray, and Salt Spray on Plastics.
5. Ozone Aging of custom nylon bearings
Ozone aging refers to the phenomenon of material performance deteriorating over time under ozone exposure.
6. Custom The resistance of custom nylon bearings to mold
The ability of materials to resist mold is called mold resistance, also known as biological aging resistance.
