The axial clearance obtained by this method is used as a reference to control the actual radial clearance after assembly.

Advantages of split ball bearing
(1) Under normal working conditions, the friction coefficient of rolling bearings is small and will not change with the change of friction coefficient, which is relatively stable; the starting and running torque is small, the power loss is small, and the efficiency is high.
(2) The radial clearance of split ball bearing is small, and it can be eliminated by axial preload, so the running accuracy is high.
(3) The axial width of split ball bearing is small, and some bearings bear radial and axial composite loads at the same time, with compact structure and simple combination.
(4) Rolling bearings are standardized components with a high degree of standardization and can be mass-produced, so the cost is low.

Disadvantages of split ball bearing
(1) The contact area between the rolling element and the pipe of the rolling bearing is small, especially the ball bearing, which has poor impact resistance.
(2) Due to the structural characteristics of the rolling bearing, the radial clearance is relatively large, resulting in large vibration and noise.
(3) The service life of the rolling bearing is reduced under high speed and heavy load conditions.
(4) The inner and outer rings of the rolling bearing adopt an integral structure.
