Help Customer to tell 6204Z and 6204RS different seal type

I received an inquiry from a VIetnam customer last year. The customer told me he need some bearings with seal.And told me the size is 20*47*14mm, and there was no other information.However,intend to give customer a quotation,I need more info.Such as quantity and brand.The most inportant is,I need to know which bearing is customer need?So I checked according to size,turns out he need 6204.Then comes to another,customer said he need seal,but we have metal seal and rubber seal 2 types.Which are 6204Z and 6204RS.I also need to know the seal type.

So I want to contact customer to confirm more details,but he never reply since then...I did a background check, but no more information was found. After replying to the e-mail, two or three more e-mails were sent later, but no reply was received from the customer. But I did not give up,every single chance is precious.

After a few weeks, I received reply from the customer, he said he was in a holiday.Now he was back to work and can discuss all business.Then I told him all items.He said he need to confirm with his customer,because he is not the end user,he also purchase bearings for his customers.

He asked me,the customer only gave him size of bearing,which is 6204,no more info.Does the seal type matter?

Then I told him,yes,metal seal is different from rubber material.For example,metal seal is high speed while rubber is better on waterproof.Besides,usually 6204Z-metal seal is non-contact,it can be lower noise.It would be better to know what type machine thet bearing will use on.Or we can know bearing work environment.Then customer told me that if I could gave me both price:6204Z and 6204RS,so he can let his customer choose.Then I checked our price and sent him quotation.but customer feels that the price is little high. In fact, my quotation is within a reasonable range. Then I analyzed the reasons for the high price of the product to the customer and showed picture,it is high quality bearing.

After several days confirmation,customer said they need metal seal type,which is 6204Z.As samples,they want discount.I told the customer that if the order quantity is large, some discounts can be applied for the price. Finally, the customer agreed to increase the quantity and to inspect our quality.and we negotiated the price. After that, confirm the details of shipping and payment method.

To know the type customer need is very important.

I think I am very fortunate to be able to win the trust of customers and make a deal. After the customer received this batch of goods, they were very satisfied with our products and expressed that they would continue to cooperate.
