The axial clearance of the camshaft should meet the relevant regulations. The inspection method is shown in the figure. The thickness gauge can be used to measure the thickness difference between the thrust flange and the spacer. When the thrust flange wears and the axial clearance exceeds the specified value, the standard thickness of the thrust flange should be replaced. The thickness of the spacer must not be arbitrarily thinned. Otherwise, the axial position of the cam will be changed and the accuracy of the gas distribution phase will be affected.
The oil pump drive gear on the camshaft should be repaired if the tooth surface is rough or the tooth surface wear exceeds 0.50mm. Individual gear teeth are damaged. Without affecting the use, eccentric cam bearing is allowed to continue using after sharpening off the acute angle.
