Pillow block bearing with locking collar are high-precision component products that are combined with grease-sealed deep groove ball bearings and bearing housings of various shapes. The bearing assembly can be directly mounted on the body of the mechanical device through several bolts. It has a self-aligning function and can be replenished with grease.
Precautions for removal and installation of pillow block bearing with locking collar:
1. Before installing the pillow block bearing with locking collar on the shaft, you must first remove the fixing pin of the bearing jacket, and at the same time, smooth the surface of the journal, and apply oil to prevent rust and lubrication at the journal (allow the bearing to rotate slightly on the shaft).
2. Lubricate the pillow block bearing with locking collar seat and bearing mating surface and put the bearing in the bearing seat. Then put the assembled bearing on the shaft together with the bearing seat. Push to the required position for installation.
3. Do not tighten the bolts that fix the bearing seat first. Make the pillow block bearing with locking collar jacket rotate in the bearing seat. At the same time, install the bearing and seat on the other end of the same shaft, rotate the shaft a few times, and let the bearing automatically correct the position. Then tighten the bearing seat bolts.
4. Install eccentric sleeve. First, eccentric sleeve is placed on the eccentric step of the pillow block bearing with locking collar inner sleeve, and tightened by hand in the direction of shaft rotation. Then insert the small iron rod or press against the counterbore on the eccentric sleeve. Use the hammer to tap the small iron rod in the rotation direction of the shaft. Make the eccentric sleeve securely installed, and finally tighten the hex screw on the eccentric sleeve.
